Michael J. Long, JD, MBA
Michael Long understands the significant, long-term personal and financial consequences that begin at separation. He works diligently to advance his clients’ matters efficiently while carefully considering the unique circumstances that set each client apart and the impact of recent developments in the law.
Michael has conducted trials at the Supreme Court and Provincial Court, appeared before the British Columbia Court of Appeal, and resolved countless matters through negotiation and mediation. For each client, he strives to fully explore the strengths and weaknesses of each side’s case, anticipate the potential outcomes in a litigated resolution, and help his clients navigate toward the best possible outcome in their circumstances. Michael believes that a well-informed client should rarely be surprised by what the other lawyer says in court.
Michael is a contributor to the Annotated Family Practice, published by the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia, which is a reference book used by family practitioners to stay up-to-date.
Michael was called to the bar in Alberta in 2015, joined the Law Society of British Columbia in 2016, and recently completed the Master of Business Administration program at Georgetown University.
